Who We Are

Shona

After years of listening to my husband bang on about CrossFit®, I decided to see what all the fuss was about. Eight weeks into my maternity leave with baby number two, a new Box opened just a stone's throw from my house, so I took myself along and was instantly hooked. Becoming fully involved in the CrossFit® community, it wasn't long before I realised that the UK was missing something that other countries had already established - a high quality, design-led print magazine, solely dedicated to CrossFit®.

A graphic designer by trade, specialising in magazine design, I decided to throw myself into producing a publication I felt the community was crying out for. Everyone I contacted could not have been more supportive, and for this I am eternally grateful!

I have involved the whole Crossfit® community with this project, resulting in a magazine for CrossFitters, by CrossFitters. I am keen that CHALK will be a place for athletes to share progress and achievements, no matter what stage they are at, and to learn from each other with each quarterly issue.

This venture has been a labour of love for me and I hope that you enjoy reading it as much as I have enjoyed making it!

Ash

Ash got involved with CrossFit 3 years ago and hasn't looked back since! He couldn't wait to turn his passion into a career and his dedication to CrossFit® and knowledge of the sport are what our clients love about him!

Robbie

As a fully trained personal trainer, owner and coach of CrossFit Stewarton, Robbie has gained vast experience coaching various populations within the fitness industry throughout Ayrshire and Glasgow. With a BA (Hons) in Journalism and Media and recognising the lack of CrossFit® publications in the UK, Robbie was more than happy to get involved with CHALK. Robbie looks forward to passing on the innumerable benefits he has personally experienced through CrossFit® to readers in the UK and beyond.

Jill

With over 10 years of advertising management experience, Jill has worked on some of Scotland's most prestigious publications including Tie The Knot, Homes & Interiors Scotland and SLTN. Jill thought of nothing better than joining the team at CHALK and talking box all day long!
